Mucasey & Associates

Founded in 1983, the firm of Mucasey & Associates, Architects has specialized in the architectural design of unique, owner-occupied projects in the commercial, institutional, and residential markets.

The firm is comprised of ten people including the principal, Mark Mucasey, Senior Associates Will Cummings, Paul Titterington, and David Howland, five staff architects, and the office manager.  Through a combination of hand-drawn designs and details, as well as computer drafted documents, the firm has been able to deal with specialized concerns of its unique clients, while providing the accuracy and speed of documentation offered by computers. 

The philosophy of the firm is to maintain a direct contact between the principal members of the firm and the client throughout all phases of the project.  Much of the firm’s efforts are spent in the design phase, in giving form to the client’s preferences, and insuring that each structure fits well in its context.

Many of the firm’s projects have dealt with renovation, in which expertise has been developed in preservation and synthesis of existing constraints.  A substantial portfolio of projects for retail and multi-family developers evidences the firm’s concern for budget and simple technologies that can produce the design intent at minimal cost.
